Best Places to visit in Sri Lanka


1.Sigiriya        

    Sigiriya is one of the most famous highlights of Sri Lanka. The rock is about 200 meters high and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On top of this rock was the palace of King Kasyapa in the 5th century. You can still see the ruins of the palace from above, and from there you have an amazing view over the vast green forest. In the early days, the complete image of the lion was made of stone, but now all that remains are the beautiful landscaped gardens, canals, and a small museum at the foot of the rock. It is difficult to climb up to 1900 steps, but the result cannot be overstated. Halfway up, you can stop at the murals of women in safety and a smooth polished mirror wall that the king can praise.


2.Ella
          A village with a wonderful vibe in a beautiful green, mountainous environment. The waterfall is known as a backpacker's paradise but is a great destination for luxury travelers on their Sri Lanka tour. Around you can visit tea plantations, waterfalls, scenic spots and more beautiful mountains. Climb Falls Rock (about 2.5 hours) for a bigger view, and climb Little Adams Peak (about 1.5 hours) for even more panoramic views. Also worth a visit are the Ravana Falls, the Nine Arch Bridge and some temples and tea factories.The waterfall is famous for its famous train ride! The train journey from Ella to Kandy (about 7 hours) passes directly through the tea estates and is one of the most beautiful trains in the world.


3.Kithulgala


                Kitulgala on a small scale is a famous place for adrenaline sports in Sri Lanka! Due to its location on the Kelani River and in the middle of tropical rainforests, you can see a lot of dirty nature and outdoor sports options here. Kitulgala is best known for the film "Bridge on the River Kwai". The film was screened in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, but was mostly shot on the Kelani River. 4.Sri Pada

7.Madolsima        
In addition to the main World's End site in the Horton Plains, there are at least four other popular sights in the mountains of central Sri Lanka. These are Madolsima & Mini Worlds End, Selagama Mini Worlds End, Pitawala Pathana Mini Worlds End and Deanston Mini Worlds End. The last two of these are located in the hills of the Dumbara range. Madolsima is located at the edge of a lush robotic tea plantation.

As you approach you will see a range of mountains full of small dry forests. The highlight of Madulsima Worlds End is that the viewer can see a large plain running from the foot of the mountain towards the east coast. But in Horton Plains, visitors can see mountains and rocky debris from a precipice. It is managed by the Uva Provincial Tourist Board.



8.Meemure        
Meemure is a village with a population of about 400. It is located in the Knuckles Range near the border between the Kandy District and the Matale District. Meemure is one of the remotest villages in Sri Lanka, having only access to 14 km (8.7 miles) from the town of Lulwatta. There is no cellular service in the village, but there is a CDMA telephone service. The village has no postal delivery; A villager travels to the post office every day to exchange incoming and outgoing mail with a postman.


9.Moonplans        
The moon plain is one of the most scenic locations in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. Located just outside the city of Nuwara Eliya. The recently opened attraction is a place that was once used by nearby city dwellers to dump rubbish. It was cleaned and rehabilitated in 2010 and is now classified by the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council as an agricultural and eco-tourism zone.

Carpeted with healthy grass; The Moon Plateau is home to many wild elks, wild buffaloes, occasional leopards and a variety of birds. However, the main point of interest is the perspective of the 'Mini World's End'. Located on a steeply sloping hilltop, you can climb up to the platform just in the middle of the moonlit plain and enjoy a 360º view.
